Abstract
The Volume Validation Tool is a tool that allows you to validate a single volume against the PDS3 standard. It works by using a Java applet to validate your data on your local file system then uploads the results to this server for presentation, filtering, and data mining. It tests for a variety of issues based on the most recent version of the PDS Standards Reference, Data Dictionary Document, and the current version of the data dictionary. In limited cases where ambiguities exist in these documents, validation has been based on responses from the standards committee and/or practices and findings from senior members of the PDS.
